My wife and I purchased a used 2014 X-30 in April. When we got the boat the carpet was stained and matted and it really didn't add to the look of our 'new' boat. We also keep it in the water and if we went out in the evening and got the carpet wet, it would still be wet the next day when we used it, so it was only a matter of time before it started getting funky.
We decided to go with deckadence flooring. I had seen/felt it a few times in other boats and really liked it, plus the fact that it doesn't get wet seemed great.
I purchased through Jims Marine Flooring, which was a great experience. Cost was around $1,500.
My overall experience has been very positive. We have spilled some adult beverages and the flooring never gets wet, stained, or sticky. food crumbs for the most part go through the floor, and the bigger pieces you pick out by hand, but really not that much. Sometimes there is a piece that gets lodged in there and you can't get out by hand, but by the end of the day it has usually worked itself through and is gone.
I picked up the mat and the underside is still clean, but there is a lot of dirt and crap on the fiberglass under the mat. I have not removed it at all in a month, so its probably time to take the flooring out and vacuum or wash down the fiberglass and re-install the mat. The mat itself still is spotless, but if I had access to a hose at the dock I would probably rinse it out.
It is nice on your feet although not very nice on more sensitive areas exposed skin. kneeling down on it to dig under the observers seat or put the drain plug in can be painful, and I would not want to lay down on it, or sit on it with exposed skin.
The logo looks awesome, and fit is fantastic. They do weld the logo in, so where the plastic is melted together at the seams, it is much stiffer than the rest of the floor. I have found that this softens over time and is now much less noticeable than when the flooring was new.
The flooring has gotten pretty hot on a couple occasions, but not any worse than the vinyl or everything else on those days.. it has been an insanely warm summer here, upper 90's and low 100's. Certainly not as hot as the stock gray foam padding on the swim platform and walkthrough.
It stays in place very well, even towing at highway speeds, but I think I would still like the snaps on it to keep it in perfect position.. it being shifted just a little bit drives me nuts, but I don't think anyone else notices it. I would not put it anywhere else on the boat without fastening it down somehow (swim platform).
The look and feel is a huge improvement.. it really makes your boat feel more luxurious and people absolutely notice it.
I am sold on the flooring. No wet, no fading, no staining, plush on your feet, looks great. Way better than carpet. Not sure in comparison to Seadek, as I have not spent enough time on it to give it a thorough testing. Before and after pics attached.
